STORY: 46% Cabernet, 46% Merlot, 6% Zinfandel, 2% Petite Sirah. We created the BDX blend aiming to highlight the elegant side of its Bordelaise ancestry, where Merlot plays a more dominant roll and Cabernet Sauvignon is there for support, structure, and longevity. Add a splash of Zin and Petite Sirah from the fruit and spice cabinet and wallah! A fittingly seductive counterpoint to some of Napa's more over-the-top Cab bottlings, the 2019 BDX finds its place as a seriously friendly wine, ready for any occasion. Pairs with grilled meat, garlicky mashed potatoes, sautéed greens, and robust pastas.

TASTING NOTES: Aromas of mocha, blueberry sauce, dark chocolate, cherry preserves, roasted sage, fig, black olive, chocolate almond liqueur, new leather, dusted cocoa powder, and ganache. Bold, silky, round, and juicy on the palate with velvety black cherry, layered chocolate, cigar leaf, cola, fresh plum flesh, rhubarb, buttered toast, all wrapped in sumptuously woven tannins that undulate across the palate to the long and excellently structured finish.
